Mr. Logan Seybold
Hello! Welcome to the Rockwood Area School District! My name is Mr. Logan Seybold, I currently teach a range of courses: English 12, CP English 12, Journalism, Creative Writing, 9th Career Exp and 12th Career Expo. I am an alumn from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, and received my Bachelor's Degree at Saint Vincent College. As a new face to the district, I am looking forward to meeting every student and developing a professional relationship to build academic success and career readiness.
Within English 12 & CP English 12 you will explore British Literature from 1800 through some textual works we used today. Course readings will range from Othello to A Tale of Two Cities, with some course readings taking place digitally, through excerpts, and some textual analysis in fictional and nonfictional readings. The purpose of this course is to develop your appreciation for classical literary works we see in British Literature and to develop hands-on writing, reading, and textual analysis skills you will utilize for the rest of your professional and personal lives. Content in class will blend student interest, you are encouraged to offer suggestions on how you best learn and ideas will be taken into account for future curriculum and instruction. I look forward to seeing you all in class each day, always feel free to utilize my Rockwood Area School District email if you would have any questions.
For those in my Career Expo 9, Journalism, or Senior Project courses, welcome! In your courses we will focus on career readiness and higher learning based skills. The purpose of your education is to develop lifelong learning skills you will use in your professional and personal lives through a well-rounded education. In Career Expo 9 and Senior Projects we will work from 9th through 12th grade to narrow in on what your plan is for your professional career. For some of you this may mean the college route, for others immediate work force entry or vocational school, whatever your professional path may be, we will get you there! I look forward to working with you to prepare you for your professional careers, always feel free to email or ask questions in class.
