Welcome to 7th and 8th Grade Reading!

I’m so excited to share this year of reading and learning with you! In our class, we’ll explore a wide variety of texts—novels, short stories, nonfiction, poetry, and more. Together, we’ll work on building strong reading skills, expanding vocabulary, and learning how to think deeply about what we read.

Students will have opportunities to:

* Read and discuss engaging stories and articles.

* Learn strategies to better understand and analyze texts.

* Share ideas through writing, projects, and class discussions.

* Connect what we read to real-world experiences.

My hope is that every student not only grows as a reader and thinker, but also finds books and stories they truly enjoy. I look forward to a great year of learning, discovery, and building a lifelong love of reading!

About Me

Hello! My name is Jeremy Romesberg, and I am the 7th and 8th grade Reading teacher at Rockwood. 

I am also the head coach for the Junior High Softball team.
