Welcome to Mrs. Mumau's Writing and Grammar Classroom!

I am looking forward to teaching both 5th and 6th graders grammar and writing this school year! Both 5th and 6th graders will be learning new grammar skills and strengthen previously taught ones. Writing is an opportunity to express one's thoughts and ideas! Students will be writing personal narratives, expository, argumentative, and text dependent writing pieces.

About Me

This is the start of my 12th year teaching at Rockwood. I have been an educator at the elementary and collegiate levels since 1997. I graduated from Allegheny College in 1995 with a degree in Psychology and Religious Studies and received my Masters in Education and my K-6 teaching certification at Duquesne University in 1997. My family includes my husband, Michael and our two children, Emma and Elias. I am an avid reader, runner, flower enthusiast, and love the outdoors!
