Welcome to US history
Hello, and welcome to U.S. History! My name is Mr. Formica, and I’m excited to be your teacher this year. I currently teach U.S. History I (10th grade) and U.S. History II (11th grade) here at Rockwood, where I have been teaching since fall 2021
I believe that studying history is more than just learning about the past, it’s about understanding how historical events connect to our world today. In my classroom, students can expect to engage in thoughtful discussions, hands-on projects, and regular connections to current events. My goal is to create a space where students feel comfortable exploring ideas, sharing perspectives, and thinking critically about the world around them.
Outside the classroom I run the Rockwood A/V club, help out with the school musical, and coach elementary and jr. high basketball.
